A paved coastal path running past the Lido and Doca do Cavacas towards Praia Formosa and beyond. Flat, lit, and the easiest exercise in Funchal.

The walk

From the Lido complex you can walk west to Praia Formosa in about 40 minutes, and keen walkers continue on the coastal route towards Câmara de Lobos. Cafés, sea pools and bathing complexes line the way.

It is busiest at sunrise and after 6pm when locals run it.
