The bridal veil waterfall, falling straight into the sea near Seixal.
A purpose-built viewpoint on the old north coast road above Seixal, looking at a waterfall that drops off the cliff into the Atlantic. Five minutes, free, and one of the north coast's signature images.
What you see
The viewpoint platform looks west along the cliffs to the Véu da Noiva fall and the terraced slopes above Seixal. After heavy rain the fall is enormous; in a dry August it can be a trickle.
There is a café and a car park at the top, reached from the ER101 — the old cliff road below is closed to traffic.
Local tips
- — Combine with Seixal's black sand beach and Porto Moniz for a north-west loop.
- — The waterfall is weather-dependent — don't build a day around it in a dry spell.
